How do you get your information for the Obituaries?
We receive our obituaries directly from the family and loved ones, who post the information related to the deceased. We are a community based service. Users are encouraged to share the details of the deceased so that the wider community can remember them, attend ceremonies where invited and send condolences to those grieving.
How do I find out if someone has passed away?
Simply use the search engine tool at the top right hand corner of our website. You can search their first and/or last name, and our database will show you if anyone has shared information on their passing. As this is a post-based service, if you cannot find what you are looking for here, we recommend searching through other public sources such as newspapers and funeral homes.
How do I report an error or an Obituary?
If there are any errors that need to be corrected, or any obituaries you thought was offensive and want to report, please send a detailed email to info@greekobituaries.com.au and be sure to include the person’s name, date of birth, and any other details about the error or report in question.
I posted an Obituary but want it removed. How do I do this?
If you log in to our site, click on the ‘Edit Obituary’ section, and select ‘Delete’. Please note that deleting an obituary is permanent and cannot be recovered.
How do I send a Condolence?
Each obituary has a dedicated section for messages, for family and friends to share their thoughts and memories. You can also click through a Hug, Light a virtual candle or let them know your prayers are with them. Simply sign in to your account to send a message or gift.
How much does it cost to post an obituary?
For a standard obituary – 1 image, short biography, posting one costs $4.99. For a premium obituary – 7 mages, Full biography, one obituary will cost $9.99. You also have the option to purchase a bulk pack of 10 premium obituary posts for $89.99
